No training today – my daughter had a bad dream and woke up just as I was leaving the house, She was pretty freaked out, so I sat with her until she went back to sleep.
Yes, there are more important thing than training sometimes.

Notes: Not a bad day everything felt good all of the pulls were strong and fast. Having a 4 year old I almost always have the creeping crud and today is no exception I could have pulled more than the 5 on the 455 but my head felt like it was going to blow. With every rep I could feel the pressure grow in my Sinuses.

All that cracking and popping in the nasal and forehead....that's what I felt when I had a sinus infection at my meet in April of last year.

LoL, yep it sucks but I have a 5 year old daughter and a 3 year old grandson and a 218 month old granddaughter and at least one of them have the creeping crud all the time. I’ve just gotten use o the idea that I’m going to have to live with it for the next few years.

Well I’m officially entered into my first meet of the Year on April 6.
Goals:
Squat – 460(+) Bench – 300(+) Deadlift 560(+)
I’m Thinking I’ be weighing in between 310 and 330. Then in July I want to be down below 308 for my next meet. Trying to set records in both weight classes before I move up.

It’s an AAU meet In Orchard, Nebraska. Orchard is about 200 miles northwest of Omaha. It’s a really small community but they put on a huge meet. I expect there to be between 80 and 120 lifters and the always put on a baked good sale and lunch to raise money for the school. Still, they run a really tight meet and it goes quickly.

Bench Worked up to 225 and the I did 7 to 10 Set of 3 – with Pause
Bent rows – 90% 3x15@135 1x10@135
Super yoke 1x60”@250 1x60”@450 1x20”@650 I tried a pick @ 850 wasn’t happening today
Notes: the sun was shining but it was still on 20 degrees outside. what the Hades were we doing outdoors!

Notes: Nice training day. I took a casual approach today. I knew I was going to do several set of three but I wasn’t sure of the weight. I just started adding weight till I go to a weight that wasn’t easy but didn’t add a lot of stress. Turns out that was 350.
I’ll be doing a USAWA meet this weekend. The three lifts are the, Floor Press, 18” Deadlift, and Anderson squat.

Nothing really exciting to report I played with some floor press and the Anderson Squat to try to find what I think my openers are going to be, I’m thinking 250 and 400 respectively
Oh, the 18” deads – I’m thinking of about 525

Great Meet today I finished 13th in a field of 25 lifters overall. The Anderson Squat 551 – 10th place in the lift, Floor press 13 overall, and in the 18” dead lift 624, and 649 on a fourth attempt for a national record. I finished 6th in the event.
