Not sure what the plan is. I have a session tonight and one again Sunday. With Monday being a holiday not sure what we'll do. The original plan was to train Monday and Wednesday, but we'll see how it goes.

Chris, congrats on getting your first meet in.
This experience will serve you well for your next as you now have the opportunity to prepare for the unexpected twists and turns that may come up the next time. The best meets competed are the ones that are the most challenging. And I'm certain you will be up to the challenge at your next one. You've lost the first meet jitters. Now we just have to get some consistancy with those referees!

"The bench and squat left me disappointed and the deadlift left me satisfied. And competing left me wanting to do it again."
Welcome to the iron brotherhood. :')
Man, congrats on getting the first meet done! And for leaving with a fire in your belly! I have to get back to class now, they're waiting for me, but I'll get back with you later.
Way to go, Chris!
God Bless. Doug

Okay. I'm back.
Chris, I know the feeling when you leave something at the meet. My last meet I was hoping for 15 more pounds on the squat, but alas, a depth problem kept me from reaching my goal. (My depth on my 2nd attempt was TOO low.....as in to the floor......and I couldn't get it up....) Just to recall a little historical note, two of my first meets ended up in bombing out. You did NOT bomb out! You actually posted a pretty darn good total, especially considering it is your first meet ever, and you have been training for powerlifting for less than a year now!
And you did it without any assistive equipment! It was ALL Chris!
First meets are for learning. That is unless your name is Joey and you are a firefighter from Oregon, but that's a different story. Not only have you expressed that you learned something from the meet (squat deep, brother!) but you know deep down in your heart you have a LOT left in the tank! Heck, it is NOT unrealistic to envision a 1000 total by Christmas!
Now go get to lifting you powerlifting machine!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!
God Bless. Doug
