I didn't want to say anything until I was sure and while it is still not a done deal it looks like I will be taking over the Nebraska State Chair after the meet here this weekend. The current chair, Jeremey Meyer who has for the past 5 years done an amazing job over the last 5 years built up the Nebraska program is leaving the state for another job.
He approached me and a friend Josh Haggin about taking over the job when he left. I was a little apprehensive about the offer and wither or not I would be up to the task. In the end my decision was based on the fact that I didn't want 100% Raw to leave Nebraska. Fortunately Jeremey is leaving me with a great team of people who make will make the job easy. Also, Josh will be taking on the role of Iowa chair which up till now was open. we will act as each other seconds and attempt to grow the sport in both states.

good deal Dan. I know with your interest in the future of strength sports you'll do a fine job.

Thanks Guy, Jeremey and DJ before him were both awesome chairs. We have a small but motivated group of people helping out. otherwise I'm not sure I couldn't pull it off.

Well, for all intents and purposes, it looks like it is official, LoL all of the equipment is stored in my garage (Much to my wife's dismay). Hopefully I'll be talking to Paul this weekend or early next week to cross the Ts and dot the Is. I've already reached out to the owner of a venue about holding our December Meet. While I know it isn't practical for any of you to attend, I would like to extend a invitation to all of you to come out and lift.
