then, at least, do your homework and check out the supplement that you are taking or are interested in taking.
I recently had to impose a 2 year ban on someone who tested positive for steroids at one of our meets. He was very professional about the situation, but maintained that he had never used any drugs and that there must be some mistake. He emailed me a list of supplements that he was taking. One product contained a "propriatery blend" that the manufacturer refuses to identify. Another one on his list has the following printed on the container and in all of it's print advertising: warning: Athletes or anyone subject to banned substance testing should check with their governing body before using this product. Be sure to read the entire label including full directions as well as any precautions and warnings.
I REALLY ENJOY busting and banning cheaters. I REALLY HATE when I have to ban someone who makes an honest, if uneducated, mistake. However, I have no choice. The cheater could just as easily make the same claim. It is for this very reason that I put into the drug rules that the athlete is ultimately responsible for what goes into his/her body.
If you test positive, you will be banned. So, please try to make my job a little easier by doing a little homework. If you have questions about a specific supplement, feel free to send me a pm. I will help you with it as much as I can.

WOW, You don't have to be a chemist to be able to figure out that supplement might be an issue. I'd love to know how in the world you missed that label, and on the bottle itself. IMO if your willing to take that without even thinking about it, your haviing no thoughts about take all other "proprietary blends".....ha

That’s why I stick to my Multivitamin and call it good – I’m too scared I’ll miss something.

People never check what they are taking. DHEA sold at CVS read your label dehydrorplandrosterone (sterone) steroid. Vitamins if you are on a blood thinner you should not take Vitamin K. so many things that people do not research it is amazing.

3speed: That warning seems to be common among nearly every pre-workout stimulant style supplement available. Given my schedule with work and school, I looked into these. C4, Jacked, other such products all contain Dimethylamylamine or Methylhexaneamine (spelled also Methylexanimine). Nasal decongestent ingredient from geranium oil and low level stimulant, it is on almost every banned list and some of my looking into it showed positive tests from IPF events.
