Several people believe that you need to have a "cheat day" or a "cheat meal" to stay sane lol. Do you have a cheat day or cheat meal. If so, how often?

i rarely "cheat" persay, when i'm maintaining or cutting. i carb up usually once a week, but with things like rice, potatoes, or oatmeal. when i'm gaining, i cheat after every workout (getting a ton of calories into my system when nutrient partitioning is working in my favor), and dive into a chinese buffet pretty much every weekend.

Nice, gotta love Chinese food!

When I'm not training for a meet.... Sundays! I eat what I want on Sundays. Once I start a 12 week meet training cycle, then no cheating.

Is cheating the same thing as eating sensibly or am I confused about this?

That’s why I’m a powerlifter and not a body builder

If I'm on a strict diet of certain foods at certain times of the day - I have been allowed one cheat meal at dinner to eat whatever I want as much as I want for no longer than 45 minutes. So whatever I'm craving, that's what I eat.
My diets have always revolved around keeping strength and not necessarily geared towards fat loss (even tho fat does come off).
