What are some characteristics you look for when searching for a Pre-workout formula? I'm having a hard time finding anything that doesn't make me gag and I really don't like pills.

I have a clean diet and with my lifestyle, I find that supplements really help. I'm looking for something that gives that extra pump and more endurance...

Agree with the Dt. Dew! Also, throw in a couple of tuna sandwiches with fat free cheese on whole grain bread.

I have a clean diet and with my lifestyle, I find that supplements really help. I'm looking for something that gives that extra pump and more endurance... I have used a wide variety of pre-workouts in the past (mostly before I joined 100% RAW). What worked best for me was VPX NO Shotgun pre-workout and VPX NO SyntheSize during the workout.

I would talk to Chris Mason over at AtLarge Nutrition or check out the ads on Tmuscle/Tnation.
Endurance comes with training and conditioning over time. My feeling on supplements like that is - you will spend a lot of money and get very little in return.

Most of the pw supps rely on caffeine to get you going. A cup of coffee is cheaper. I have found that what works best for me is a peanut butter and honey sandwich about 45 minutes before I hit the gym and, if I'm feeling sluggish, a little caffeine just before I hit it.

apples give the same effects as a cup of coffee
i use ACG3 since i lift in the morning at 5 am and an apple is just not to appetizing. coffee gives me the runs but then so does milk.

I use the Muscle Pharm (MP) Assault and really like it...I don't even use the full serving, about 2/3rds, but it gives me the boost to get in and get my 2-3hrs done.
