Hi, new here. Wondering if there's anyone out there? I live in NY and am planning to make the Binghamton meet in May with another female lifter. Like it better when there's a bunch of other ladies around. I compete in the 198+ and my friend in the under 198. Any body else?

Hi Michelle! I'm a powerlifter from Virgina. Welcome to 100% Raw forum! This organization has lots of friendly and helpful people so I hope you will enjoy it. How long have you been lifting and do you have a special training schedule to get ready for your meet? I'm in preparation for the May 9th Open meet here in Virginia and training hard. Look forward to hearing more from you and best of luck and strength at your meet. - PL105.

Hey there! I've been lifting about 9 years. I could be better with a training schedule... but mostly I just train hard but haphazardly, like most things I do. but I love it!! Good luck to you and let me know how you do. Our meet is May 30. - Michelle

Hi Michelle! I'm a Crossfitter but since I moved back to Binghamton, NY I've been training at a local box gym (ie: non-crossfit). One of the coaches there suggested I enter the meet coming up in May at JC High School. My question is: how do the weight classes work? If I am more than 165 but less than 181, what weight class do I fall in?

We'd love to see you at this years meet! From 165.4 - 181.8 you are in the 181 weight class. If you weigh 165.3 or under you are the 165 weight class. Any other questions, just ask.

Great info! Another question....attire for women. I read the rule book awhile back, but I know on the entry form says that a singlet is mandatory. I just wanted to clarify what I was getting from this. Women can wear a sports bra, then a singlet over that, with a t-shirt over the singlet....so long as the t-shirt conforms to the rule book. Is this correct? And if I need a singlet, where do you gals purchase them?
Thanks again!

Here is what I use: www.houseofpain.com/product-list.....CFUWU7Qod9HfvDAWith trim or without they are both great simple singlets. My singlet is four years old, been through 20+ competitions, and I plan to have it for many more! Sports bra, t-shirt, and then singlet (In 100% RAW Rules See Personal Equipment, Section 3). Hope this helps.

The t-shirt has to be worn under the singlet.

Sports Bra, T-shirt, and then Singlet. T-shirt must be tucked into singlet. This is so judges can see if back or glutes come off bench during press.
