After reading the rules on the strict curl, my question is how to they define shoulder contact with the wall? My shoulder blades extend past my shoulders proper, so unless I shrug my shoulder back to an unnatural degree, only my scapulas can maintain contact.
Is shoulder contact with the wall limited only to the actual contact the upper back makes, depending on the lifter's proportions?

It is shoulder and/or upper back that needs to be in contact with the wall. So when you grab the bar, lean back so your butt and upper back are against the wall and whatever position you have those two points of contact need to stay the same. But the upper arm can move as much as you want it to during the curl.

Think of it as a vertical bench where you need to keep your shoulders and butt touching.

I competed in the Prescott meet organized (very well) by Paul Gillot. By luck or accident, I managed to place a record in my weight and age class (117.5 Lb.) I am planning to up the number for the July competition. I think I have the form down.

I think that was a type-0. "Buy" should have be "By". the on-line PDF is "it"
