Dopar66: It's my favorite exercise, hands down. Now if I could just get good enough to join an all universe deadlift team...then I would be set. I told my training partner I'm so desperate I'm about to go to a strength clinic to get it resolved.

One question, little buddy, (HA! I slay me!)
On the Buckeye, how much of that do you pause? Someone may have already asked but I only zoomed through the posts and may have missed it.
Thanks!
God Bless.

I have seen a lot of guys on here mention that they train the pause. I'm one of those guys who has never trained the pause. I always lower slow and pop from the bottom treating light weight and heavy weight the same, but have never actually trained the pause.

I did not use to train a pause because it gose against what I was taught, but it helped my bottom end alot, but now I think I have paused to much as of late and the numbers are down. I think a happy med. could be very productive.

Thanks, both of you! I think I have a plan. I'll start it off with the 300 or 310 and try pausing the 4 reps @ 80%. George, I follow your logic, but then again, I don't work up to 450 pounds in my workout either.....
:')
God Bless!

Thu - June 21 - 2007 Squat (10:15pm-12:00am)
Barbell Squat Bar x 10 260 x 5 350 x 3 440 x 3 500 x 3 520 x 2 550 x 1 580 x 1 600 x 1
I felt really great tonight and did not want to stop. I had only planned on doing 520 for a single since the 500 for three seemed heavy, but I later think it's because I lost my tightness and took the weight for granted. The 520 was way easy, so I doubled it and decided to work singles since I was feeling so good. All three singles were done below parallel as I had someone calling my depth. The 600 was deep and explosive but I decided to call it quits anyways. I now believe that if I rest right I should be able to nail a 630 for the Tri-State meet.
Bent Over Rows 135 x 10 185 x 10 200 x 10 200 x 10
One Arm Rows 100lbs for 4 x 10 (each arm)
Preacher Curls 65lbs for 6 x 10 (alt. between in and out) Thats the ez-bar plus two quarters...don't laugh...lol. Been a long time since I have done curls and I need to fix my tri-bi imbalance.

Sas: I got in a habit of using the 100's and doing 10-8-8-6. I've learned its better to feel comfortable when doing hypertrophy accessory moves and getting the reps in, I feel better recovered and not like I'm rushing something.

Sasquatch: Thanks. I'm just now getting back to my old raw maxes (except the bench), so the real test is starting to begin.
By the way, was you able to enter the Tri-State meet?

Who needs the stinking bench when you can squat like that! I see your squat putting a 100 pounds on the 2nd place finisher. Super strong.
