Super work Cap. It was only a matter of time with the way you've been progressing. You should not be surprised because you put a ton of effort in and you deserved every pound you got. Should we be expecting a new log to 400? Once again congrats!

Thank you very much. I wasn't planning to hit 315 so quickly. I figured I'd hit it by next summer, but I got it just in time for winter!

This post, my friend, is the SOLE reason I logged on today instead of just browsing. Cap, I offer my most sincere congratulations on your deadlift, with no humorous comments, just bottom-of-my heart congratulations. To watch your progress, and see you reach your goal, has been a blessing to me, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Again, congratulations, and have a blessed Christmas. God Bless.

Thank you!
It felt incredible (almost surreal) after I pulled it. I wasn't even grunting or making that much noise (except for the weights hitting the floor when I completed that single). But I was breathing heavily.

Thank you! --- Another great workout, folks. Date: 26-Dec-2006 Time: 17:00 - 18:15 Gym bodyweight: 172lbs Deadlifts - Conventional135 x 10 - w/o straps 185 x 6 - w/ straps 225 x 4 - w/ straps 275 x 1 - w/ straps 275 x 1 - w/ straps 315 x 1 - w/ straps. My form's much improved from last week. 315 x 0 - Didn't move off floor 315 x 0 - Only got upto mid-shins I'm definitely getting stronger. I got more at 315 (albeit not a complete rep on my 3rd attempt, but more movement). Wide-grip Pullups BW x 5 BW x 5 BW x 3 BW x 2 Yes, I used straps, but I'm giving my grip a break. These straps are letting me focus more on my exercises than worry about losing my grip. Wide-grip dead-hangsBW for 15 seconds BW for 45 seconds BW for 30 seconds Defiant1 was onto something when he mentioned using straps for the dead hangs. Duckies! The resulting pump in my lats was incredible! I definitely felt my lats being stretched. Chest supported T-Bars45 x 10 70 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 80 x 5 Wow, I had rest for a minute due to the pump in my back after my t-bars. They just added to the existing pump from my dead hangs. Seated Preacher Curls - pre-weighted EZ Curling Bar 50 x 10 50 x 5 60 x 4 60 x 5 60 x 10 Whee! My arms got quite vascular after these. I felt great after this. My deadlifts still feeling stronger. My back is sore right now but it feels great. Time to eat!

This is so awesome! New Measurements, folks: Chest: 40" (No noticeable change) Upper arms: 15" L, 14" R (finally breaking 15"! ) Thighs: 23.75" L, 22" R (Lost almost an inch... But it's more ripped than the last time I was at this size! ) Forearms: 12.5" L, 12.25" R (Up almost 1 inch on my right and an 1/2" on left!) Waist: 33.5" (This is up an inch, but this fluctuates alot though). Neck: 16.25" flexed. I'm up 3/4" here. Calves: 15.5" L, 13.5" R (no change) Yep, I'm still getting bigger, folks! Only disappointment are my thighs. But it's something I need to work on more. All this focus on deadlifts has made my thighs shrink abit. LOL. I need to switch my focus back to my legs.

what I needed was a good night's sleep. my back's not hurting. New year's resolution: bodyweight upto 200lbs, at least 2xBW deadlift (or even 4 plate deadlift by end of 2007), and get my bench and squats to 2 plates.

Good goals. You get to 200 BWT the way you work out and those numbers will surely drop. Look forward to your progress.
Happy new year.

Uh, I appreciate it if you didn't hijack my journal thread like that. The least you can do is start a new thread...
Just ask away in a new thread. People here are very helpful and have been to me.
