Hi All,
I too am a Master lifter. I started competing in sanctioned meets about 1 1/2 years ago, when I was 49. December 9th, in Burlington, will be my first full power meet. I've been a bench only guy up till now, so the leg training is grueling for me.
I too am having shoulder problems (shoulder impingement and arthritis in the A-C joint). I've started doing some prehab rotator cuff exercises, and will do more of what read on this site.
I hope to meet many of you in Burlington.
Rocky Huber

All of us old folks can feel your pain.

Another master's lifter checking in. I have only lifted in one competition in my life (13 years ago) and got 3rd place in the Oklahoma State Championships, but have been lifting since my early teens. I don't workout like I used to, as in I don't work all muscle groups as often as I should. Bench is my favorite and I am stronger at it now than I have ever been in my life. I have some of the usual aches and pains that go along with it but nothing major.
