Has anyone ever tried these?
Meet prep begins this week, with meet in June and I'm programming them in based on perceived carry over to squat.
Will probably set the pins at about belt-height and descend normally, but I'm not sure what to expect. I'm never super-excited about training any partial-rep movement so I'm open to any feedback.

Ryan, been awhile since I have used Pin Squats in training. I do them full range of motion with the pins set so I am at or just below parallel. Unrack and walk it out, descend controlled until you hit the pins, pause so the bar unloads completely, stay tight(do not relax), and explode up. I found them to be very similar to pause squats but slightly harder. They really will help you stay tight and build bottom end power. For several months I used them along pause squats and regular squats with some success.

I have heard contradictory opinions on this
