Hello all! I'm just getting started with power lifting but I'm hoping to attend a 100% raw meet this year. Any North Carolina lifters on this forum? I picked this fed because they seem to have a lot of meets in NC, or at least more than any other federation.
Edit: So is there a bad choice for a first meet to attend? I'm wanting to head to the american challenge on June 1st. possibly the Southern open and the OBX open after that depending on how it all goes. Has anyone here had any experience with the 365 federation?

NC guy here - live in the swamp between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. It looks like most of our meets this year will be in the Outer Banks. John Shifflett also does an excellent job with the meets that he runs in Virginia. You can see all of the meets that are scheduled so far at the link below. New meets are added throughout the year as well so check back occasionally. rawpowerlifting.com/2018-results/

Basically, it's because no one has stepped up to run one. There isn't a state chairman for South Carolina. I mentioned the possibility of someone putting on a meet in Myrtle Beach or Columbia a few years back but it never got any traction.

Va here, x2 on John Shifflett's meets. Have been to 4 of his and they were all run well and very efficiently. Have been to one run by Gene Barry in NC and it too was run well and at this meet he had a pretty cool electronic scoreboard. It was however the longest meet I have ever been in, awards finished around 8pm. Competed in NY state last as well while visiting the wife's family. It was held at a local horse racing track, that too was alot of fun.
