What type of belt do you guys prefer?
I have been using a "Texas Belt" for the past 6 months. I had to get one that was "big" enough to fit my rump. Had to get one of the biggest that I could find at the time. This one has 10 holes in it (single prong). I am down to the ninth hole and going to need a smaller one soon.
So my question boils down to this...Do you guys prefer the single prong, double, or latch system?

Double prong is useless. Doesn't accomplish anything and hard to get off.
I own a single prong Titan Toro. It was my first power belt and is pretty floppy at this point from use (my wife now wears it to squat and pull), but it held up for me in its original (stiff) state for about 4yrs. Very solid belt.
I also own an Inzer lever belt which I like because of ease of getting it off, but if you need to adjust it on the fly, you're stuck because you need a screw driver to adjust.
Moral of the story: Double prong is pointless, single prong is good if you like to adjust on the fly, lever is best if your main issue is ease of getting it off after the lift is over.

Thanks Ryan, I have been looking into Inzer and the SBD lever action belts. The SBD is nice because it incorporates a prong set up and lever action, but the cost is more than double the Inzer. I have an extra hole to go and could always add more to it, but as my weight goes up on the Squat and DL's I'm thinking the lever action would be the best bet. Upside is I always have a Leatherman multi-tool in my gym bag

I agree with Ryan. I hate double prong belts. One of those darn prongs is always going to get stuck when you're trying to take it off. I had an Inzer lever belt that I used for over 20 years. It was originally given to me by Gene Bell and I eventually passed it on to someone else. It was still as good as the day I received it although I did have to replace the lever a couple of times - it broke. The only problem with the lever belt was I got tired of having to take the lever apart to adjust the fit. I bought a single prong about 3 years ago and really like it. I bought mine from Best Belts. If you order from them, it takes about 5-6 weeks to get your belt because every belt is made to order and the leather is broken in enough to be manageable when you first get it. I don't know the current price, but mine was just under $100 delivered.

Thanks 3speed, I will definitely check them out before making up my mind. I have been leaning toward the Inzer, just because of the durability and history that goes along with the company's name.
My next question is should I go with the 10mm or go ahead and get the 13mm? For my use I think the 10 will suit my needs well.

Mine is a 10mm. I have squatted upwards of 700 with it.

I think 10mm is best especially because if you pull conventional, a wider belt may get in the way.

Man.......lol Once again Woody, you prove to be a better man than me. I'd have put that thing in a glass case with laser detection like in Mission Impossible!

We were both in the Air Force stationed at Osan AB, South Korea. He got me started in powerlifting and gave me a great fundamental base of training knowledge. I have tried, over the years, to pass on as much of his gifts as I can.

have an inzer single prong (will agree with poster above, double prong is just more work for nothing extra). Also have a cheapy 6mm belt i try to use for a majority of training so on max-out/meet days my 13mm feels like steel
