Hey guys just wondering if anyone has ever fully recovered from damaged lumbar discs Ive had 3 bulged discs for years tried everything to sort it and nothing ever stops it from relapsing Can squat and sumo pull fine but done some heavy bent over rows today with perfect form but on my 3rd set felt a very sharp intense pain in my low back and now im very stiff and quite sore i think ive maybe damaged the disc again. I try all sorts to get strong and stop this happening.......
Thanks

Lol, I'll preface this with I'm not a Doctor so take my advice with a lump of salt. With that being said I don't believe that a budging disk is something that gets better its something you manage. The only real fix is surgery. Now it is possible to modify what you do and limit further damage . For example don't do the heavy bent rows, instead try dumbbell rows or supported rows. I have a similar issue, Arthritis in my hip, it is not going to heal and I can only work around it until I cant any more.
I might suggest an several anti-inflammatories. There is of course the ibuprofen but I also take turmeric and bromelain. The science is inconclusive but I can tell you that they have brought me relief be it real or placebo, Ill take it.
I highly recommend talking to your doctor and putting together a long term plan

Not a doctor here either and I've never bulged a disc but I broke my lower back in 1997. It took medical and chiropractic care to get my life back. I was a conventional deadlifter before the break and changed to sumo after a year and a half away from lifting. It was an incredible chiro that finally got me straight.

I have done chiro and sports massage for years the sports massage was most affective me it got me back in line but it was always just a temp fix,i love strength training and my back feels great after squats n sumo deads but there just seems to be a weak link in low back i cant get rid of,conventional deads n bent over rows just messes me up so i need to avoid them But i do everything, mobility, foam rolling, myo fascia release, core work, back stabilising work i do everything to try and fix it but a relapse always seems to hastle Training feels good at the time but i really dont want surgery if its actually going to fudge me up over long term
