hey all im new i been reading some good articles on lifting events and stuff i wanna try one out one day. ive tryed to ask questions in the open thread but no reply so far. mainly im trying to see if theres any events going on in my state washington state but dont see any on main page. second question i was trying to ask is what is the membership to the 100% raw used for the 30$ a year is cheap but figure i ask around before buying. what does it let me do ect. i wanna set the record in my area for strict curl while i train up on bench mainly squat deadlift i can lift heavy but my Technic will not count in big events i know that so im starting from beggining just last week. i looked up state record i seen in the 20 to 24 308weight was 141 strict curl and a 40+ 220 weight as 152. i am 26 and atm 260 weight im trying to drop below 240. i can do atm 132 shooting to pass both records before i go in still training. so any answears you all can give will be great thz.

Hey Siah.
I don't want to talk out of turn here, but my experience with 100% RAW fed is that it's mostly regional. For instance, I am from Philly originally and there were always meets within an hour or two of my front door. Now I live in South Carolina and there is nothing to speak of down here involving this fed unless I want to drive 5+ hours into NC.
I am not aware of the fed having any real presence in the pacific northwest either. Their main strongholds seem to be the northeast, the mid-atlantic and some of the rust belt, with a stray meet or two once in a while in the midwest.
If anyone else on here knows differently, please advise.

I think 100% raw is unique in its offering of all for lifts - I don't know of any other federation that offer them all in one event.

ya im not totaly sure myself who all offers up all events. i know anouther event federation 2 i hear USAPL and USAPA. the usapa i hear does strict curl and usapl only does the main 3. guess if i want to try a record in all im gonna have to hit diffrent events lol. btw my squat sucks its mainly my technice i have a proublem gettin my donkey down lower instead arch my bad even if i try no weight just body weight i still cant seem to do it. without falling backwords i hit low enough i get stuck. any tips on what i can do to improve just my form in general it can help my deadlifts aswell if i learn how to get my butt lower to the ground and keep my back more at angle then hunched over. ppl say i have no leg muscle maybe i need to work out them more. im 260 pounds 5ft 10inch i try to keep a well balanced streanth in whole body. i dont have the streanth proublem its the technice that is my main issue it seems. any help is welcome from ppl that can understand .

take video and post.
Here's what you video:
1 set of squats with an empty bar. Last set of warmups Middle set of work sets.
Video from side angle and from rear diagonal angles.
Until you show me/us what you're doing, we're just playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey.
Being a personal trainer and powerlifter, I see all sorts of problems with squatting in people, but the two most typical issues I see that tie back to what they think are strength or technique usually boil down to basic mechanical issues that can be corrected in 2-3 squat sessions.
Go ahead and video and then we'll be able to help better.
