Looks like you are hitting it pretty hard and often. Keep it up. Saw that Columbus wind chill factor was -12 in Columbus. I guess you just generate your own heat.

Had a great pump after this. Went to the local YMCA and lifted today for the first time in about a year or more since I normally train in my garage. Bodyweight is down to 233.8 so slowly creeping towards 220 class for April.

Yea, I went to the Y today cuz I was tired of running the heat in the garage and having my plates sweat and get slippery. It was a nice change of pace but the bars there suck. I have a Texas power bar so I guess I'm somewhat spoiled in comparison.

Got a little pumped up tonight. 300 for multiple reps was a huge confidence booster. Bench is beginning to soar.

Great job on the bench. I am a little partial to the bench since I messed up my back years ago and no longer do squats and deadlifts. At least bench keeps me in the game.

Ha! Yea I'd love to stop deadlifting and squatting but my ego won't let me. Maybe my body will remind me a little sharper someday.
I refuse to compete raw w/o knee wraps so there's no fear there for me. I mostly box squat anyway, but if I do normal squatting, I try and use wraps. I want to buy a shrug bar for deadlifting.
I'll still compete in the DL, but the training of it will be few and far between until my knee tendonitis goes away. I should start squatting anything over 135 w/ wraps, which I will probably start doing instead of sleeves. As long as my knees stay healthy with wraps, I'll continue squatting that way. If not, I guess I'll be one of those hated bench only guys! LOL!

Literally have been up since 6 a.m. Friday morning because my 2 year old daughter was up all night coughing and had me worried about her. So what do I do? Start a new bench cycle on 36 hrs of no sleep using Shieko #37 to kick it off! LOL....I must be sleep deprived to have done this....

Went the 45/25 route tonight. Bench felt pretty decent. 2 sets each on the accessory stuff for a little blood to upper body.

Did a few squat sets Saturday to help a 15 year old who's competing in a highschool meet this coming weekend but nothing crazy so I didn't even post it. Bench is moving along at a pretty good pace right now. Shooting for 330+ at meet in April. No idea on what I'm gonna pull yet. I generally don't train my DL as high as my bench.

You know, its awesome to see OSU and Buckeye posting together...lol. I called an undefeated season last year, and a lot of doubters emerged. I'm calling for another one this year, with a title. This isn't just buckeye state bravado....I don't think we are going to go undefeated every year just "because". I do think think that the current seniors have a chip on their shoulders, the whole team is eager to prove something they couldn't and the incoming class will also push everyone to pick it up an edge more.
Sorry to hijack the thread with cheerleading...but it doesn't take much to amp me up.
Buckeye: I've talked on my log about not having full power meets in Ohio. If Lonnie offered one, I'd be at all of them. Be that as it is, I am setting my sights on a USAPL meet in Cleveland that happens every November. What would be truly awesome for you is maybe using this as a qualifyer...and then doing the raw challenge at the Arnold...can't ask for better positioning than that!
