Ok, i thought this was a forum to "talk". I feel this is very important and i can't believe not one Female wanted to comment on it... Now that i look closer, it doesn't appear anyone is saying much of anything. What's up with that?

3feet, I'm sorry no ladies have replied. I have trained female powerlifters in the past. They always followed the routine they were on no matter the time of month. Everyone is different, if you feel that you just don't have the energy back off and work on form that week. Just keep in mind you can't always schedule your meets to conform to your schedule. Good luck. As for not too many people talking on this form I think it is a direct reflection of the Raw Administration not respecting THEIR lifters and lifters going to other forms. Keep training, the personal rewards are great. Jim

I don’t think it was a much of a matter of people not responding to your posts as it is that at this given time I don’t think there are many active females on the forum. I’ve been on this forum for about 5 years now and I have to admit that the number of active members has fallen. I think you’ll find that most of the activity now is on the logs forums. With that being said even though it is a small group there is a lot of experience here and people are willing to share
While I don’t know why there has been such a decline in the number of people on this forum (My guess is social media, specifically Facebook) I really don’t think it is a question of the raw administration not respecting their lifters. For the most part the administrators are very hands off; they only get involved if an individual get really out of hand, which is rare. That is one of the reason I’ve been on this site for so long the members are very respectful of each other.
There are a lot of other forums out there that have a lot more activity than this one. But it been my experience they also tend to have a lot more negative posts and bickering between their members. We don’t always agree here but we respect each other opinions.
Keep training and I hope to see more comments from you.

thanks for the good insight...Hey by the way, i went to the logs page and saw that you do the 5/3/1 program. So do I (not as heavy weight though). I know everybody nutrition is different but would you mind telling me what a typical meal day for you consist of? And also which supplements seem to work for you?

No problems, but I think you may find my nutritional insight a little boring. I don’t do a lot of measuring so I couldn’t tell you down to the gram what I eat but basically I try to eat balanced healthy mealy. Breakfast is almost always a low-fat yogurt , granola and a banana (Mostly because it something easy to take to work. Sometime in the morning I have a piece of fruit as a snack. Lunch is normally a can of soup but I add a small can of corn and green beans again mostly because its easy to fix/store at work. Dinner consists dinner consists of a meat a green veggie (I love asparagus and so does my wife so we have that a lot) a fruit and a salad. I only drink water (I’ll talk more about that later) Coffee in the morning 1 cup maybe 2 cups on the weekends. Soda is a lot of wasted calories (I guess I do like a beer or 2 on the weekends in the summer). I stay away from fast foods and pre processed foods as much as I can most of that stuff is nutritionally drained. Water, I drink LOTS of water. Most people a dehydrated and don’t even realist it. I try to keep my body flush with water.
Supplements: I really only use createne during /post workout and I’ve only been do it for two months so I haven’t drawn any conclusions yet but at first blush it seems to help with my recovery and I believe I have a little more energy during my workouts. I guess I do take a multi vitamin. But that is it I read a lot on supplements and there really isn’t any good studies that support the stand that they actually add anything if you are eating a balanced/healthy diet.
