Which do you guys find works best for the Strict curl? A wide grip or a close grip on the E-Z curl bar?
I am not sure which one I like more.

Wide grip seems easier on my wrists and elbows. When I hold close I end up suffering with "golfers" elbow.

Wide grip for me for sure, although when I started out way back when I liked the narrow grip better. Good idea to spend a bit of time doing both for even bicep development, but you should have one that you like and focus on when going heavy.

I tend to use close grip when doing strict curls. Maybe because I'm use to doing precher curls and whatnot mostly with close grip, but throw in some wide grip as well. In my opinion, since I've mainly used close grip I can handle a lot heavier weights when curling, but I might try and bring up my wide grip to see how well that compares to my close grip. Not sure if I will compete in strict curling in competition soon. My main focus is bringing up my squat, bench, and deadlift

Wouldn't the same principles with regard to sumo deadlift hold true here to: that the wider the grip the shorter the distance?
I sometimes wish I was a biology expert so I can find out easier which muscle activates more from what angle, biomechanics and recruitment, etc. but it seems to me that going wide makes a short ROM and allows you to use more shoulder and back.

Agree, I think the wide grip makes a shorter ROM and brings in more back and shoulder strength.
I perfer the wide when lifting. I have tried both since posting this thread.
