I am a big fan of saving the wrists with tight wraps on heavy lifts. I do not believe wrist wraps allow a lifter to push, pull, or squat additional weight. I believe they should be allowed.

I think wrist wraps are supportive only, don't see how they assist so any wrist support should be OK.

wrist wraps do not help anyone lift more in my opinion either; just help support all of that massive weight above us. I believe we should be able to wear them in the raw events.

If you allow wrist wraps sooner or later knee wraps will be let in. I say keep it belt-only

I started using wrist wraps in training, but never in competition. There are guys that get close to 100 lbs. out of their knee wraps, so they're considered recoil gear.

Unlike knees, the wrists are a much smaller joint. Wrists wraps allow the lifter to hold the weight stable throughout the range of motion. Based on the numbers I would anticipate, use or non-use of these wraps should not effect the weight used.
I do have a few pairs, but I use them sparingly.

wrist wraps help with the comfort level and are protective. I get no extra poundage out of them. Bill seems to get a few out of his. I also believe that using knee wraps are protective. I guess they are supportive but so is a belt. My goal is to live a long life and I lift to stay healthy. If I was a full meet powerlifter I would think twice before squatting raw. You guys are awesome and have guts to do it.

I think wrist wraps should be allowed. The don't really help me get anymore weight up but my wrist don't hurt after a heavy work out either. I personally think they should be allowed but rules are rules and unless they change we must deal with it and do the best we can.

i would have to say let the wrist wraps in. They do not add more strength to anything, it is a safety thing not a strength thing. When i used them in training they helped the movement not be so painful. Your wrists take a beating and you can really mess them up easily. RAW should allow them...one day.

wrist wraps not only save wrists,but also help to reduce elbow pain or injury

Raw means raw. Strengthen the wrists to handle the weight.
